A Little About Black Walnuts

Black Walnuts are almost just like any other walnut that you get from the store. 1. They are a little stronger than regular walnuts. 2. They have not been processed so a couple may be bad. 3. They got rained on a little, but the rain shouldn't have affected the flavor.
You can cook with them in almost anything but I prefer to have them in cake. With recipes that call for walnuts don't grab store walnuts right off the bat, try some black walnuts instead. You may still like store walnuts better. Some people love them and want to have them instead of store walnuts others prefer store walnuts. It is OK of you don't like them, at first I liked store walnuts better but after a little while I got used to black walnuts and started to like them.

Chestnuts

We also have chestnuts but only a few. We have 2 big trees and 2 or 3 smaller ones.
What does it mean when I say "smaller" or larger"?
It means that you may get more chestnut from one hull. Sometimes the chestnut itself is a little bigger.
Like walnuts you can do almost anything with them if you can find a recipe. You would probably want to roast it or put it in the oven.
